Responsible visitor charter...
We can all reduce our impact on the environment by making choices and as a visitor you have a very important role to play in helping us to conserve our natural assets and become a more sustainable destination.
Help us keep up the good work by supporting our Responsible Visitor Charter.
Be Water Wise
Water conservation is always crucial on St. Martin’s. Showers and taps use up to 10 litres of water per minute! Please help us to conserve water by adopting these practises whilst staying with us.
Switch off lights when you leave your room.
Close your window when you have your radiator on.
Only boil the amount of water you need when making hot drinks.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
Say NO to single-use plastic; refill your water bottle at a #RefillScilly water station.
Leave rubbish such as batteries, glass bottles, cans and newspapers on the tray in your room or next to the bin, for us to remove and recycle when servicing your room.
Shop Local
Support our local businesses.
Sample all the local produce our Islands have to offer; they give you a flavour of the area and help support our local community.
Respect Nature
Follow The Countryside Code: Respect. Protect. Enjoy.
Leave gates as you find them and follow allocated pathways unless wider access is available.
Leave farm animals alone even if they seem in distress. Try to alert a farmer instead.
Remember to bag your rubbish including food waste. Where possible recycle.
