In March 2006 , we decided to join the Green Tourism Business Scheme. This scheme provides accreditation, advice and encouragement for quality graded tourism businesses who support their local area and environment by taking steps to reduce the environmental impact of their actions.

As Silver Award winners, here are some of the positive things we are doing.

Saving water by harvesting rainwater from our roof for toilet flushing.

Becoming more energy efficient by installing low energy lighting.

Reducing, reusing and recycling - sorting all our waste, recycling and composting what we can.

Using local, Cornish and FAIRTRADE produce where possible.
